MY STORY

Down by the river is a creative floral studio run by me, Lisa Marie Grigsby, a floral artist based in Hay-On-Wye. 

 

With a background in lifestyle photography and styling for Cornish artists and brands, my love of flowers kept growing leading me to train at the renowned Tallulah Rose Flower School in Bath and onto start hosting my first seasonal workshops. My interwoven skills provide a unique creative flair with intentional use of foliage and textures reminiscent of a childhood spent in the English countryside and an affinity with nature.

I started my business whilst living in Cornwall, which was my home for many years and have now settled in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, just outside the town of Hay-On-Wye. 

 

I use seasonal and local blooms wherever possible as well as providing a focus on being floral foam and plastic free. I use solely naturally dried flowers in subtle, elegant tones and with no harmful sprays, dyes or bleach. 

 

I am a great believer in the benefits of the natural world on wellbeing and have a focus on sustainability and ethical practice wherever possible.
